His many other awards, accolades and publications are too numerous to write. The challenge and allure of shooting in the inhospitable climate that is the Antarctic, is what keeps bringing him back. during his many trips he has spent over a full year on the ice . In his own words “ the answer was obvious: to take my cameras into places where cameras shouldn’t go – as far as their safety is concerned. So for many years, I took my cameras onto wild remote island or to rugged dive sites, poked them into crevasses in Antarctica, into storms or into minus 50 degree air or along wave battered coastlines.
