Lot Details

Type - Red Strength - 14% Vol. Grape - Cabernet Sauvignon - 75%, Merlot - 20%, Cabernet franc - 4%, Petit verdot - 1% The powerful Château Latour 2002 has a high level of tannins, the original of which is deceptive softness, as well as a surprisingly long, full-bodied finish that lasts a little less than a minute. Unconventionally high percentage of Merlot (25%) in the blend gives the wine more sweet and meaty texture and deep flavor that affects the purity seductive shades of fruit, dark chocolate, spices and minerals. In style and durability elegant Château Latour 2002 resembles fine vintages of 1996 and 2000, and perhaps, eventually, it will surpass their complexity. At the peak of ripeness wine will be between 2012-2045 years. (Rare Spirits) Note: Cellared in a temperature controlled cellar since purchase
