Opalescent glass bowl by G. Vallon of France. Produced in what's known as the "cerisis" pattern, this art deco period bowl is in fine condition. The cherries (cerises) is the only known design associated with “G Vallon”. Little is known of this artist/company and this cherry bowl is their only known work. Like many French glass makers of this period, G.Vallon was likely a casualty of the second world war. However, it's been postured that "G.Vallon" may have instead been a pseudonym used by an already established firm to, "try out", a, "new style", without risking reputation. Likely produced at the Choisy-le-Roi glassworks near Paris in the 20's/30's.
