Gold fob presented to Sgt E.G. Hunter of the Civilian Defence Corps in recognition of his committment to the training section of the corps. Presented at King Edward Barracks, Christchurch in March 1915. EG Hunter is almost certainly Edward George Hunter, who served with the 4th NZMR Contingent in the Boer War and was a member of the Edward VII Coronation Contingent. He subsequently served during WW1 with the Canterbury Regiment. Weight: 10.1 Grams (Excluding T Bar) 14.23 Grams in Total
