Size: 45.9cm Weight: 71g This piece is a historic example of two noted New Zealand Jewellers. 15ct fob chain (stamped every link) by H.W.Lloyd of Wellington, Greymouth, and latterly Christchurch. Of substantial weight and superb craftsmanship. The attached pendant by A. P. Buick of Waihi. Buick is known for his gold bearing quartz pendants - quartz sourced from the Waihi gold mine, in particular, from a seam of gold bearing quartz known as the "Jewellery Shop". The seam was so rich, it was, at times, over 35% gold. An exceptional pendant complete with finely detailed engraved end cap featuring gallery and pierced detailed rim edge Quartz is mounted in a gold bezel surround and and is characterised by complex veins of shimmering gold.
