New Zealand Wars Yataghan Sword Bayonet

British pattern 1856 "Yataghan" sword bayonet. Complete with its original scabbard, this early bayonet was produced for the .577cal Enfield infantry short musket. This style of bayonet saw extensive use both in New Zealand and the American Civil War. Scabbard loose with antique punctures, surface rust to blade and handle. Overall, great, untouched/restorable condition. Reputedly from the New Zealand wars and thence by decent to the vendor.
