Lot Details

Although Marlborough in origin, Entente is very much Gentil d'Alsace in spirit. Viognier, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Riesling - sourced from organic growers Te Whare Ra - combine with extended bottle aging to create a semi-sweet, fragrant, unctuous wine. Collaboration between Marisco Vineyards and Trelise Cooper. Golden and viscous in the glass; apricot, pineapple, white florals and exotic spice on the nose. Showing great evolution in bottle, the body is weighty and complex, pleasantly sweet with bready vanilla, stonefruit and lychee giving way to a subtle oak and flinty mineral finish. While obviously great with a cheeseboard, it would also be a dynamite pairing with spicy rice or noodle dishes.
